Suspension threads represent a solution for the treatment of the lower third of the face. Until they were released on the market, it was almost impossible to guarantee a satisfactory aesthetic result for this area without having to resort to surgery. Today, however, this is possible, quickly and safely. They are placed at the clinic without the need for an operating room.
These threads are equipped with particular anchors that pull the tissues allowing them to be suspended. They are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue with very fine guide needles using simple local anesthesia. The latter are then pulled out, leaving the thread in place. No detachments nor surgical incisions are required, therefore scarring is avoided.
The method can be combined with other procedures (fractional laser, filler or botulinum) intended to offer a balanced and natural result.
